Project Manager

About the Role

As a Project Manager, you will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex rail projects involving rolling stock manufacturing, refurbishment, modernization, and engineering services.
You will manage project scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk, and stakeholder alignment throughout the project lifecycle while working closely with engineering, production, quality, procurement, logistics, and clients. You will also lead medium- to large-scale rail projects spanning multiple phases and extended project durations.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead projects from initiation through completion.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across engineering, production, quality, procurement, and logistics.
  • Manage supplier and vendor relationships.
  • Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare and deliver project status reports.
  • Serve as the primary client contact for project-related matters.
  • Support bids, cost estimates, and execution planning.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

What We’re Looking For

  • Diploma or degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of project management experience in rail, manufacturing, transportation, construction, or industrial sectors.
  • PMP certification is an asset.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary projects.
  • Experience managing medium- to large-scale projects with extended timelines.
  • Experience managing suppliers, subcontractors, and external vendors.
  • Strong leadership, influencing, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and financial performance monitoring.
  • Experience supporting bids and project estimates is an asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Zoho Projects, or similar software.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.

Working Conditions

  • Full-time position (40 hours/week).
  • Based on-site in Montréal.
  • Regular presence on project and manufacturing sites.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
